Earlier, all the automakers had 31st March as their deadline for BS6 transition. After the deadline, no BS4 car could be registered as new. Dealerships confirmed that you can still buy a new car but it will be a second-hand model with zero kilometres running.
If you have to buy a BS4 car, you still have the time. The deadline has been extended to 10 days, i.e, till 25th April. Once the dealerships open, we will update you with all the BS4 vehicles that are still left to buy.
In the case of Hyundai, last when inquired, the dealerships still had BS4 stocks of Venue, Tucson, Grand i10 Nios and i20 Diesel. All were offered with a hefty discount of over Rs 50,000 on each variant. As for Tucson, the discount offers were more than 1.5 Lakhs.
