Hyundai has teased a new electric concept called the 45 concept and they will also debut an electric racing car, a first for the company at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show!
As the dates for one of the most exciting automobile show is nearing, Hyundai has dropped a teaser of a new model and from the looks of it, it seems to be an EV. Hyundai already has a range of models lined up for the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show but this 45 concept electric vehicle, Hyundai says focuses on the brand’s future design direction while also taking inspiration from the past.
The design of this concept EV from Hyundai is inspired by the brand’s first model that came out in the 1970s. It has been christened as the 45 concept and like all new concepts these days, its an all-electric model. Hyundai says that the 45 electric car concept will be a milestone for Hyundai’s future EV design.
Well, that’s not all as Hyundai has one more EV up its sleeve. And what’s more? This second electric vehicle will also be Hyundai’s first ever electric racing car which Hyundai claims will showcase what the brand has in store for the future of motorsports. This new electric car has been designed and built at the Hyundai’s headquarters in Alzenau, Germany by Hyundai Motorsport (HMSG).

Hyundai says that the car “will underline the company’s high-performance capabilities, green technology credentials and unwavering passion for motorsport.” These cars are slated for their debut at the 2019 Frankfurt Motorshow on September 10 and will bring out the compnay’s new sensous and sporty design language that the company has been bringing in their cars lately.

Hyundai has not announced any technical details about the 45 concept or the electric race car like battery capacity, range or power, but from the looks of it we’ll get a digital fascia. It is also unclear as to what body styles these cars would come in. We will have more details once the car debuts or if Hyundai releases another such teaser. As the dates for Frankfurt Motor show are nearing, expect more such teaser to come from out from more brands to build the excitement further.
