Biking freaks in India are having a nice time as companies launch or announce plans to launch new bikes almost every other day. This time, we are talking about the Hyosung GT250R Limited Edition, of which only 50 units will be sold in India by DSK-Hyosung in India. The signature edition has been rolled out to mark the first anniversary of the Hyosung owners club, Hy-Ryders.
The Hyosung GT250R Limited Edition is priced at Rs 2.97 lakh ex-showroom Pune.
So, what is different with this limited edition? This comes with a hurricane yellow paint job, special decals, branded merchandise and most importantly, signature of the owner embossed on the motorcycle. There is no difference on the mechanical front. Hence, there will be a twin cylinder engine that can generate a maximum power of 27BHP with a maximum torque of 22Nm. This 250cc engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. If you don’t want this signature edition and would like to opt for a regular GT250R instead, this is equally lucrative. This comes with three dual-tone paint jobs – black and red, silver and red as well as white and red.
Keeping the booming Indian niche bike segment in mind, Hyosung is further gearing up to bring out two new motorcycles in India in the early days of 2014. These bikes are GD250N and the Aquila 250 cruiser and will give close competition to company’s Indo-Austrian rival Bajaj- KTM. Apart from this, a 150cc commuter by Hyosung is on its way and its details will be released sometime in 2014.The upcoming Auto Expo 2014 may witness the first glimpse of these proposed bikes which are supposed to be the company’s stepping stone in India.
Following suit of its rivals, Hyosung is also looking forward to start its own manufacturing facilities in India within the next 2-3 years. All signs of the market heating up in the coming years are here. Are you ready?
