Hyosung which had an association with Kinetic a few years back and launched the 250CC monsters, Hyosung Comet and Hyosung Aquilla, is back with a bang and is going to launch the Hyosung 650R and Hyosung ST7 on the 27th of October. The two bikes will be much more powerful than its relatives which entered the Indian market way back in time and will be priced competitively.
The Aquilla and Comet being too expensive for the market conditions prevailing at that point of time, had to quit the same and were dragged to extinction for the next few years. But tomorrow things will be different for the brand as it is going to launch two new bikes and will enter a joint venture with Garware Bestretch, one of the world’s leading manufacturers and exporters of Latex and Latex-Free Elastic Rubber Products.
The bikes will come as CKD(Complete Knock Down) units since the government doesn’t allow importing bikes as CBU units below 800CC capacity. Garware Motors will help Hyosung set up a CKD assembly plant at Wai in Maharashtra and will produce approximately 8 to 10 bikes a day.
Recently on an occasion Diya Garware Ibanez, Managing Director of Garware Motors, said, “We are glad to be associated with a brand like Hyosung which is known for its stylized powerful bikes at affordable prices. We want to emulate their global success in the Indian market and develop a new segment whose potential is waiting to be unleashed,”
The new bikes falling under the 700CC category will establish a new category since currently no bikes fall into the same.
