It is not every day that one gets to witness the mighty Hummer H2 in flesh but when it doe appears, it dwarfs even the biggest of SUVs.
In the latest car spotting, a Hummer H2 was spotted on the streets of Bengaluru as a Mahindra XUV700 was passing by. Hummer used to be a massively popular brand a few years ago. It defined the celebrity status for anyone opting for it. The butch and sturdy exterior offered an unmatched road presence to the beast of an SUV. However, with time, other carmakers started offering flashy designs and the Hummer became less popular. But when you do get a glimpse of it, you understand why it dominated the global market for a long time.

Hummer H2 Towers Over Mahindra XUV700
The video clip has been shared by Spotter India on YouTube. It shows a parked Hummer on the side of the road. Among the cars passing by, an XUV700 appears and gets parallel to the H2 at one point in time. That is when you actually realise the sheer size of this monstrous SUV and why people are mad about it. The XUV700 is almost 4.7 m long and 1.75 m tall. But the H2 makes it look like a compact hatchback. Needless to say, the Hummer was getting public attention like nothing else.

Hummer H2
This monster truck used to come powered by a massive 6.2-litre 8-cylinder diesel engine that produced 393 hp and 563 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine came mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels. With its impressive 251 mm ground clearance and 4×4 capabilities, you didn’t need to think twice before taking it anywhere. It was over 4.8 m long, 2 m wide and 2 m tall and had a wheelbase of over 3.1 m. You shouldn’t be surprised to know that it weighed 3 tons.

Before discontinuation in 2010, it used to retail for anywhere between Rs 60 lakh to Rs 80 lakh which is a huge sum of money during the early 2000’s and still is. In India, the most popular celebrities who owned the Hummer include MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, Suniel Shetty and Mika Singh.
