The basic need for the installation of new stockyards as per the Company’s executive is decentralization of stocks, availing easy delivery of cars. Currently the stocks come from the Gurgaon plant and with each new stockyard covering 25 acres the delivery certainly will become more convenient.
Adding to the whole chain of stockyards, 16 new model showrooms will be spread across the nation providing better facilities and familiarization with the vehicles.Presently the only showroom offering the entire range of models from Maruti Suzuki is located at Delhi. According to the executive, in addition to new plans covering stockyards and showrooms Maruti Suzuki is also to increase the number of personnel in R&D from 1000 currently to 1450.
