If the sticker is not found on your car, you will be required to pay double the toll amount. The earlier deadline was 1st December but now, it has been shifted to 15th December. Once bought, there is no expiration on the sticker and you can use till the time it has not been damaged.

How To Get Fastag?
Either you can buy it online or even offline. Mainly, you have to pay a deposit Talking about the online purchase, a lot of banks, as well as wallet operators like Paytm, are offering Fastag. You have to enter your personal details, ID proof and upload a photo of the Registration Certification (RC) of your vehicle.
Online Purchase
Once uploaded, you have to pay fees for the sticker, minimum balance and refundable deposit as well. For every bank or wallet operator, the scheme is different. Various offers are also being given with the purchase of Fastag. Here are some of the schemes offered by major banks and wallet operators:
PAYTM
In Paytm, for purchasing Fastag, you have to pay Rs 500. Along with this, Paytm is offering a movie discount coupon worth Rs 150. The payments will be done directly through the paytm account and once the balance is over, you can recharge it through paytm.

ICICI Bank
With the ICICI bank as well, Rs 500 is the amount for purchasing fastag. There is no offer along with this bank. With the tag taken through the bank accounts, you can recharge it directly.

HDFC Bank
HDFC is charging Rs 400 for the fastag sticker, lesser than other banks. In this, the issue charge is free of cost, however, you have to pay Reissuance Fees. Further, on recharge, HDFC is also offering 5% cashback every month.

Similarly, with the SBI as well, the charges are lower. A tag is available free of cost till December 31st, just the issuing charges have to be paid. No offers are given from SBI.

Kotak Mahindra Bank is offering the fastag sticker for Rs 500, in which the sticker is free of cost only till December 15. There are no offers given by the bank.

For all these banks, you have to submit your KYC documents. With full KYC documents, you can keep a balance of up to Rs 1 Lakh on your fastag account. Some banks are offering a limit of up to Rs 10,000 if the KYC is not done. Further, every month, there will be 2.5% cashback offered from the NHAI on toll payments. With mobile operators, you can also recharge the amount via UPI systems.
Offline Purchase
Owners who are not well advanced with the use of internet banking and Paytm can also get the stickers offline. You can visit your nearest bank, where you can submit the related documents and get your sticker issued. Further, you can also get a sticker issued at toll gates through their officials or salespeople from different companies. The payment amounts will be the same, but there would not be any offers applicable on offline purchases.
