Ride-cancelling is quite common among Uber drivers. Now, a new hack is sweeping Twitter to stop Uber drivers from bailing on you.
Shared cab apps have completely revamped the daily commutes in most cities. However, the process is not as frictionless as originally intended. Quite often, the drivers end up canceling the ride if they don’t like the destination or mode of payment. While Uber does not share the destination and restricts drivers to ask the customer for the drop location, they still continue to do so. In many cases, the drivers even force you to cancel. Fortunately, a new hack has emerged that will help users to avoid being canceled by Uber drivers. Let’s take a look!

An Uber rider took to Twitter to share a new hack to get a quick cab. The shared screenshot essentially shows a text conversation that can be used as a template by many users. The customer replied to the driver’s question about the location with ‘Yes drop’. When questioned again (‘drop location’), they replied with ‘Yes, drop at location’. After one more repetition, the driver agrees and types ‘ok’, followed by ‘1 min. I’m on my way.’ The customer confirms the ‘Okay thanks’ response. Many Twitter users applauded this hack and seemed willing to try.

The new hack is a decent template for a polite conversation. However, it is not convenient to be canceled by multiple drivers during emergencies or odd times, you should not mislead the drivers as well. Some Uber drivers might have legitimate reasons for avoiding certain locations. In certain cases, they just want to head home after a long driving day and might not want to go in the opposite direction. In such an instance, it is a safer choice for everyone to give them a choice. The struggles of car drivers are often overlooked by customers during their commutes.
