What A Truck Driver Earns in Australia
The video has been shared by Kishanell on YouTube. They are a popular couple who travel and live in New Zealand and often travel to Australia. In this video, he meets his friend in Australia who has come from India for studies. As a part-time job, he is engaged as a truck driver. Therefore, he is an ideal candidate to offer first hand experience in the details involving truck driving in Australia. They start the shift at around 1 AM. The aim is to complete 4 rounds of carrying chicken from the poultry farm to the market.

Needless to say, the truck is refrigerated to ensure that the chicken doesn’t rot or go stale. It is not just one commodity that he needs to transport. There could be anything that is needed to be transported. For a lot of commodities, refrigeration is required. From the truck, these things could be directly taken to the supermarkets where they are kept at cool temperatures. There is a proper arrangement for sleeping behind the seats in the truck. For around 12 hours, the driver completes the task but can also sleep if need be.

Finally, the YouTuber asks his friend how much he earns. The driver mentions that he could earn around $300 AUS (approx Rs 26,000 when converted to INR) in one night. It must be noted that hourly rates vary a lot depending on whether you are taking the night shifts or you are driving on the weekends and public holidays. What are your thoughts about this?
