The Mahindra Armado ALSV for the Indian Army is an extremely capable vehicle. ALSV stands for Armored Light Specialist Vehicle. It describes the capabilities of this vehicle perfectly. Until a few years ago, India had to rely on foreign companies and countries to get such types of vehicles for our defensive forces. But Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring was established in the UAE specifically for the purpose of building an indigenous vehicle. It has been designed according to the topographies and terrains in our country. While the Armado is a prime example of that, the company also makes many other armoured vehicles which are based on existing SUVs like Toyota Land Cruiser and Ford F-550 pickup truck.
