Sporty and Maruti Alto 800 aren’t usually associated with each other but things aren’t the same here with this rally-tuned version imagined digitally
For most, the Maruti Alto 800 is nothing more than a bare-basic means of transport to take one from point A to B. Actually, the entry-level hatchback from the country’s most popular carmaker makes for a great commuter car for anyone on budget – it’s affordable, easy to maintain, decent to drive and has enough space for four. However, no one would have imagined the Alto in a rally-ready avatar. Until now. Bimble Designs on Instagram has done the unthinkable and come up with realistic illustrations of a car that won’t look out of place on a rally stage.

The Maruti Alto 800, in fact, looks pretty stylish in all the Castrol livery. Up front, you get a sportier bumper that carries pretty big fog lamps. The bumper has. aprounced lip and a pretty big airdam. The headlamps have been re-done and feature yellow DRLs. The side profile is where the most changes have been given. First things first, this Alto features a wide body kit and that, along with the low ground clearance, works well to give the car a good stance. Another highlight of the side profile is the air duct near the rear wheels that has been designed to cool the brakes. Other than this, the car even features huge decals with Castrol and Motul branding.

The rear-end doesn’t get many updates but you go get red-green racing stripe on the bootlid to continue with the Castrol colour theme. Also, the taillamps have been updated and now carry LED fixtures. Finally, the small car even gets a pretty big roof-mounted spoiler. Overall, all these updates transform the rather ordinary looking hatchback into something that looks ready to take on a rally circuit.

Unfortunately, these pictures are merely figment of imagination of a skilled rendering artist. That said, we won’t mind seeing a similarly prepped-up Maruti Alto 800 in one of the rally events that the carmaker has been regular with organizing. Also, the renderings seen here are a good example of how the budget car can be easily made to look a lot more stylish and sportier.
