It doesn’t take a genius to notice that currently, in India, SUVs and crossovers are all the rage. And most major manufacturers have hopped onto that bandwagon and have at least or two products on sale to ensure they get their fair share of the lucrative pie. While Honda has the BR-V on sale in India already, it hasn’t exactly been able to set the sales charts on fire. Now, Honda has rolled out another crossover and a cheaper one at that. The WR-V not only rivals fellow hatchback crossovers like the i20 Active and Etios Cross, but also the Maruti Vitara Brezza. How do they stack up against each other? Honda WRV vs Maruti Vitara Brezza Comparison – Exterior Design
While the WRV is based on the Jazz, designers have made extensive changes to the hatchback’s exteriors. The only similarities the can be seen are in the side profile and the rear end. The nose is completely new and features a flatter, high set bonnet. There is body cladding all around and the ride height also witnesses a slight increase.
In contrast, the Maruti Vitara Brezza features a more conventional SUV design. While the exteriors aren’t very eye-catching, the work well and have gone down well with the Indian car buying lot. Most buyers would prefer the conventional SUV lines of the Brezza over the jacked up hatchback look of the WRV.
Honda WRV vs Maruti Vitara Brezza Comparison – Interior Design
Unlike the exteriors, the dashboard of the WR-V is identical to that of the Jazz. The Jazz based crossover features the same design, steering wheel, instrument console, etc. Again, the dashboard design of the Vitara Brezza, much like its exteriors, is a bit conservative. That said, the quality levels are decent and everything is where you would want them to be. While the WR-V’s cabin is flashier, we still prefer the elegant dashboard design of the Vitara Brezza.
