When Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) announced about the launch of 160 cc Unicorn, a lot of excitement was scene among motorcycle buyers in India. The Honda Unicorn 160cc, will be launched in a ceremony in New Delhi tomorrow. This all new bike from Honda looks like a combination of Honda CB Unicorn and CB Trigger. The 150 cc Unicorn from Honda was a very successful bike, after which Honda launched Dazzler followed by CB Trigger which could not bring much business to the company while Dazzler proved to be a disappointment for the company. Here are few pictures of Unicorn 160 cc which has been spied at Noida. This bike looks stylish and is expected to give high performance while being fuel efficient.
The specifications have not yet been revealed by the manufacturer but here we take you through a glance of the bike. There are few changes seen in these bike which are new while most of the features have been inspired from its older siblings. This all new bike resembles the CB Trigger in looks but this motorcycle gets a Unicorn batch. It seems to be inspired from CB Unicorn and CB Trigger. This all new commuter bike gets a new tail light and nicely designed saree guard. This bike might draw power from a 160 cc air cooled, single-cylinder engine, producing around 14.5 BHP of maximum power.
The existing 150 cc Unicorn gets an air cooled, 4 stroke single cylinder 150 cc engine, producing 13 BHP @ 8000 rpm of maximum power and 12 Nm @ 5500 rpm of peak torque. It gets a five-speed transmission. The overall length is 2095 mm with 1340 mm wheelbase, while in the 160 cc bike, the length of the bike seems to exceed the wheelbase. 160 cc Unicorn along with the bikini fairing, features conventional, single piece handle bar and single piece seat like other commuter bikes. It is much more stylish and sporty than the CB Trigger. This bike will compete with FZ V2.0 and TVS Apache RTR 160.
