Honda will finally be introducing some cosmetic updates on the now ageing Jazz with its BS6 update, as can now be confirmed by this new teaser image.
Honda has finally offered us a decent glimpse at the 2020 BS6 Jazz with a new teaser image. We reported you with a spy image of the BS6 Jazz in testing sometime ago and said that the updated car will come with few cosmetic changes. Honda will launch the BS6 Jazz officially in the market after the nation-wide lockdown has been lifted but more importantly, we are very pleased to see the cosmetic changes on the new Jazz.
The new teaser image reveals only the face of the new Jazz. As you can see, the updated car gets a new LED headlamp units with DRLs for the first time. The LED DRLs merge on to a chrome strip of a revised grille. In fact, the face now looks much similar to the current-gen Honda City. The bumper has also been reworked for a sportier look and gets new LED fog lamps. The alloy wheels look similar to the BS4-spec model but we expect some changes to the tail lamps at the rear as well.
As for the engines under the hood, there will be a 1.2L, naturally aspirated petrol engine and it should continue to produces 90bhp and 110Nm of torque. The 1.5L diesel engine will also be updated to BS6 norms and even that should continue to produce 100bhp and 200Nm of torque. A five-speed manual gearbox will be offered with both the engines and the petrol engine will also be offered with a CVT gearbox. However, the diesel engine will not likely be offered with a CVT gearbox anymore.

The gearbox options on the Jazz will in fact be similar to what’s being offered on the recently updated BS6 Amaze. Its interesting to note that Honda is updating the 1.5L diesel engine for the Jazz but the current-gen Honda City has not been introduced with the same engine. The 1.5L diesel engine will however be back on the City when the new generation model is launched sometime after the lockdown is lifted.

We also expect some cosmetic updates on the interiors as well and the top-spec Jazz will continue to offer a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with other features. We will have more details on the styling updates of the Jazz closer to its launch. Honda is also working on an update of the WR-V along with its BS6 update and it should be launched soon as well.
