Honda is all set to launch a new midsize SUV that will take on the Hyundai Creta. It will be called Honda Elevate.
Honda is one of the most popular brands in the Indian market. It has had many successful models in the country. Now, the Japanese car manufacturer is planning to introduce a new midsize SUV in the Indian market. It will be launched in the first week of June 2023. The upcoming car has been named “Honda Elevate”. The company has released a new teaser for the same. It is likely to go on sale during Diwali festive season.

World Debut on June 6
The Honda Elevate will make its global debut on June 6. It will be positioned between Honda WR-V and the HR-V. The new teasers hint at rugged styling with upright proportions and a slightly tapered roofline. The midsize SUV is based on the 5th generation City platform. It will borrow elements from the company’s bigger SUVs like the Honda CR-V and the HR-V. It will have a mesh-type front grille with sharper LED DRLs, a long bonnet, and LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights.
On the back, the upcoming SUV will feature wrap-around tail lights with LED elements and halogen turn indicators. It will also come with a tailgate-mounted spoiler. The Honda Elevate will also have an electric sunroof and large glass areas. Additionally, it will sport muscular wheel arches with thick cladding, multi-spoke alloy wheels, dor-mounted ORVMs, and prominent roof rails. On the inside, the midsize SUV will get a large touchscreen infotainment screen and a digital driver display.

Honda Elevate Specs
The Honda Elevate will be powered by a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine (seen on City sedan) that offers 121bhp of power and 145Nm of torque. It will be paired with a six-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox. The SUV will also receive a 1.5L Atkinson cycle engine with strong hybrid tech. The e:HEV setup will offer 98bhp – 109bhp and 253Nm combined torque. The company might also offer a 1.0L turbo petrol engine that outputs 120bhp and 173Nm of torque.

The upcoming SUV will come with ADAS, which will include collision mitigation braking system, road departure mitigation system, lane-keeping assist system, adaptive cruise control & auto high-beam. Safety Features on the Honda Elevate will include a 360-degree camera, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, VSM, hill launch assist, an electronic parking brake, and Honda’s Lane Watch system.
