Honda Elevate will launch on September 4 as we try to figure out the most VFM (Value For Money) model in the lineup. Elevate is a mid-size SUV. It draws significant inspiration from the renowned City sedan. Honda aims to enhance its sales by entering the bustling mid-size SUV market, currently occupied by prominent automakers. Notably, the Elevate will face strong competition from rivals such as the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Furthermore, this segment features other contenders like the MG Astor, VW Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq. For now, let us check out this VX (2nd from top) variant.

Honda Elevate VFM Model
This video comes from The Car Show on YouTube. It captures a detailed walkaround video of the exterior and interior of the Elevate. On the outside, there are LED headlamps with LED DRLs which double up as turn indicators, LED fog lamps, black material for the large grille section, a rugged skid plate, a sturdy bumper and a thick chrome slab connecting the headlamps. On the sides, one gets a chrome belt running underneath the window frames, stylish 17-inch alloy wheels, rugged wheel arches body-colour door handles, roof rails and black side body cladding. At the rear, there are LED taillamps connected via a glass panel, shark fin antenna, rear wiper, defogger and washer, sporty bumper and skid plate.

Interior and Features
On the inside, there is a Beige and Black colour theme. Prominent features include a free-standing 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, part-digital instrument cluster, 6-speaker audio system, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, black inlay on the dashboard, front armrest with storage space, use of soft fabric on door panels, steering-mounted multimedia control, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, height adjustable driver’s seat, electric sunroof, rear AC vents, two adjustable rear headrest, 360-degree camera, manual IRVM, LED cabin lights, dual airbags, a 458-litre boot capacity and more. It is a feature-rich SUV.

Specs
Elevate will offer a single engine option – the 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine, similar to the one found in the City. This engine delivers a familiar output of 121 hp and 145 Nm of maximum power and torque. You have the choice between a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic gearbox. Interestingly, this time they have not included a strong hybrid engine choice. With the manual transmission, the claimed fuel efficiency stands at a respectable 15.31 km/l, while the automatic version fares even better at 16.92 km/l. We expect the prices to fall within the range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 17 lakh, ex-showroom.
