The main rivals of the Elevate will undoubtedly be the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Additionally, there are other products in this space including MG Astor, VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq. Honda Elevate Seen Before Launch
This post comes from autonation_india on Instagram. It captures the real-life road tests of the mid-size SUV. Someone travelling behind is making the video. The SUV is doing the rounds of the city in various traffic conditions. Since it has already been unveiled, there are no camouflage wrappings on the body. That indicates that the Japanese carmaker might be performing the final test runs to tweak some aspects before the launch. At the rear, the LED taillamps with that black element connecting them look quite neat.

Specs
Elevate will come with just one engine choice – a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine, same as the City. This engine generates a familiar 121 hp and 145 Nm of max power and torque. You can choose either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. This time, they didn’t include a strong hybrid engine option. With the manual gearbox, the claimed fuel efficiency is a good 15.31 km/l, and the automatic version is even better at 16.92 km/l. We think the prices will be somewhere around Rs 10 lakh to Rs 17 lakh, ex-showroom. The exact details will be available when it’s officially launched.

What We Think
Well, it will be really exciting for the customers who are looking for a mid-size SUV. They have more choices than ever. Hence, we would be rest assured that all our requirements will definitely be met by one car out of the myriad vehicles on sale in this category. However, this is quite a challenging task for the carmakers. They have to try everything in their power to differentiate their products from the crowd. Moreover, these SUVs must bear an attractive price tag. The customers will be looking at the most number of features, great driving capabilities, and tons of practicality at the most affordable prices. Now, that is as tough a challenge in the automobile world as any.
