This video captures a walkaround tour of the Honda Elevate base model. The Creta-rivalling C-SUV is slated for launch soon. People are already witnessing it in the showrooms. With a high localization of over 90%, Honda aims to offer the Elevate at a highly competitive price point. That would be the advantage of launching the car after its rivals. Currently, the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos are the two most successful mid-size SUVs in the country. Their monthly sales represent just how popular they are among the masses. Honda will pin high hopes on the Elevate to challenge that dominance. Here are the details of the base model which could have a price tag of around Rs 10 lakh.

Honda Elevate Base Model – Exterior
This video comes from MANandCAR007 on YouTube. The vlogger details the SUV quite well. You get LED projector headlamps, a broad grille, LED DRLs at the front, a chrome slab, sporty bumper. However, the fog lamps are missing. On the sides, you get 16-inch steel rims and chunky wheel arches. Then there is a chrome window garnish lending a premium appearance, turn indicators on ORVMs, keyless entry, etc. At the rear, you get a shark fin antenna, connected taillamps and a sturdy rear bumper. There are not many signs to signify that this is the base model.

Interior and Features
Moving to the inside of the Elevate, one gets steering-mounted multimedia controls, a basic instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic air conditioning, a push start/stop button, USB charging, a front armrest, fabric seats, textured dashboard, reading lamps, audio system, power windows, electrically controlled ORVMs, rear AC vents, headrests and a large boot compartment (458 litres). If Honda prices it around Rs 10 lakh, it could give a tough fight to the base trims of the Creta and Seltos.

Specs
Elevate will have only one engine option – a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine like the one in the City. This engine makes a familiar 121 hp and 145 Nm of peak power and torque. You can pick either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission. They didn’t include a strong hybrid engine choice this time. The claimed fuel mileage with the manual transmission is a decent 15.31 km/l, while the automatic variant will offer a higher 16.92 km/l. We expect the prices to be around Rs 10 lakh and Rs 17 lakh, ex-showroom. Exact details will be revealed at the launch.
