Honda has launched new Honda Dio Deluxe version, an upgrade on the outgoing Honda Dio. The Deluxe version is available in both the variants of Dio, starting from around Rs 1000 more than the current price of Dio. The new version comes with minor feature upgrades and gets new colours also.
Honda added a new ‘Deluxe’ version on its Honda Dio range. The urban and sporty scooter gets some cosmetic updates and some added features on the current Dio. The scooter is priced starting from Rs 51,292 (ex-showroom Delhi). The new features on the scooter include LED headlight, all-digital console, and a four-in-one ignition key, which comes with Honda Grazia. It also features a separate switch for opening the seat, an indicator for service due and new front and rear hooks. The digital console comprises of the speedometer, fuel indicator, 3-step Eco speed indicator and service due indicator. All the features are available on this scooter for the first time. Honda Dio Deluxe is available in two variants – DLX and STD. The STD variant is priced at Rs 51,292 and the DLX variant is priced at Rs 53,292 (ex-showroom).

Honda Dio also gets an optional charging socket under the seat. The STD version gets new colours including – Vibrant Orange, Pearl Sports Yellow, Sports Red, Candy Jazzy Blue and Matte Axis Grey Metallic. The DLX variant gets two new matte shades – Matte Marshall-Green Metallic and Axis Grey Metallic. Other than this, it gets minor cosmetic updates. Also, the Deluxe version gets gold-finish rims. However, the scooter receives no mechanical and further technological upgrades on the scooter. Honda Dio Deluxe runs on a 110 CC air-cooled engine that produces 8 BHP worth of power and 8.9 Nm worth of torque. It delivers a maximum speed of 83 KMPH. It gets 130 mm drum brakes on the front and the rear wheels with Combined Braking System (CBS) and an Equalizer.

Honda Dio measures 1781 mm in length, 1133 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1238 mm. It comes with a ground clearance of 158 mm and weighs 104 Kgs. Dio delivers a claimed mileage of 60 KMPL and comes with a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 Litres. It uses Honda’s usual and old Spring loaded hydraulic type suspension on the front and rear wheels. Dio comes equipped with Combi Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer technology as standard.

Currently, Honda Dio is in its third generation. Dio is made of a complete fibre body, while its sibling, Honda Activa comes with a metal body. A popular product amongst the youngsters, it faces a high competition. Currently, it competes against the likes of Yamaha Ray ZR, Hero Maestro Edge, TVS Wego and Suzuki Lets. The outgoing Honda Dio comes at a price of Rs 50,296 (ex-showroom).
