Ever since it became evident that Honda is lagging behind because of the unavailability of diesel engine option, almost every news channel and automobile blog started speculating the timeline for the launch of the diesel version of their respective models. Early speculations hinted that launch of the diesel line-up would take place in 2013 but recently it was confirmed that the Honda Brio diesel would be launched before 2012 end.
The reason for the introducing the hatchback diesel version first is because of the high demand of small cars in our market. According to an exclusive information, Honda is going to launch the Honda City sedan’s diesel version too by the end of 2012. The news is extremely interesting as this is what most of the buyers were anticipating for and finally it has been confirmed, that too a bit sooner than speculated.

In fact the Honda Jazz diesel is also expected to follow soon, so probably before the first or second quarter of 2013 the market would witness the diesel version launch of the most important Honda models.
