Honda has been trying to establish itself in the Indian motorcycle market since splitting from Hero. It has been able to find its feet too, on the basis of good products and strong after-sales support. Some of its products have been quite popular too, like the Unicorn and Activa. Its premium product, the CBR250R, has become quite old. Hence, sales have been slow too. For this reason, Honda may just bring the CBR300R in India. As far as we know, the CBR300R will launch in India in April/May 2018 at a price of Rs 2,00,000. Read on for all the available details on the Honda CBR300R India launch date, price, specifications, features, etc too.

Honda CBR300R Price in India
Standard Variant Price* | Rs 2,00,000 |
ABS Variant Price* | Rs 2,20,000 |
*estimated prices ex-showroom Delhi
The Honda CBR300R’s price here is based on the CBR250R’s price in India. There is a good reason for that. Between the two bikes there is a 50cc difference. Correspondingly, there will be difference in power output and other features too. The CBR250R was launched in India for Rs 1.60 lakh. The chances of the CBR300R getting priced below Rs 2.50 lakh, hence, seem plausible.

What we do know from Honda’s past is that this bike’s refinement levels will be excellent.
Honda CBR300R Mileage
City Mileage | 30 kmpl |
Highway Mileage | 35 kmpl |
Having a 286cc engine has its disadvantages, which is what the Honda CBR300R shows. While it mileage figures may not seem great, what we trust a Honda bike with its manners. Honda has always maintained that it will prefer to make bikes that are easy to use daily. Expect the CBR300R to be as civilised as a road bike should be.
Honda CBR300R Top Speed
Top Speed | 170 kmph |
With a Honda bike, you seldom go for speed-hunting, except when it is the CBR1100XX Super Blackbird. So, while the Honda CBR300R may go beyond 150kmph, good luck finding roads where it can maintain that speed for long.
Honda CBR300R Features

- Combi-braking system
- Adjustable rear suspension
- Disc brakes front and rear

A feature-rich bike is what you can call the Honda CBR300R. It has a number of features that focus on rider safety such as ABS and combi-braking system that brakes both wheels. The dual-tone paint scheme gives it a bit of style while the split seats and alloy wheels give it a sporty touch.
Honda CBR300R Design
To design the CBR300R, Honda looked at the CBR1000RR and CBR600RR instead of the VFR1200F. Hence, instead of a single headlamp, it now gets twin headlamps. Honda has tried to save costs by not throwing in costly equipment like Upside Down Forks. They make the CBR300R look ordinary (?) but do the job. What the bike carries over from CBR250R is the speedo console, which still has analog tach readout. The rest of the speedo is digital. Only if Honda could also get rid of the stainless steel exhaust end can for a black unit. Now that will give this bike some much-needed edge in the styling department.
