Honda Cars India has finally revealed all the details of the Honda Amaze in India at the official Indian launch in New Delhi on 11th April 2013. The car has been launched at very lucrative starting price of Rs. 4.99 Lakhs with variety of options. The Amaze is the first Honda car in India to be launched with a diesel engine. It comes with an option of diesel and petrol engine with various trim levels and also offers an automatic transmission variant in the petrol version (no automatic version in diesel). The most important thing about this car is its 1.5 Litre diesel engine which comes with a class leading performance of 100 PS of peak power and 200 Nm of torque besides which it manages to deliver a whooping 25.8 KMPL of mileage making it the most fuel efficient car in India.
Honda cars India has an installed capacity to produce 440 Honda Amaze cars at its assembly plant in its Greater Noida Plant. Amaze comes with a standard warranty of 2 years or 40,000 Km (whichever is earlier). To add more value and provide affordable maintenance, Honda is offering Honda Care maintenance package for 2 years or 40,000 Km at a price of Rs. 9,996 for petrol and Rs. 15375 for diesel models of Amaze. The reason behind the competitive price of Amaze is its high localization level of 90%.
