Honda recently launched the new Activa 125, that came with a BS-6 compliant engine and fuel injection system. That was not all that it got, but the maker also equipped the Activa with a lot of new smart features.
Activa 125 is India’s first BS-6 compliant scooter but is the second one to get the FI technology. Months back, Hero launched the new Maestro Edge 125 with FI, as the first scooter in India to get so.
Both are popular 125cc scooters and carry a similar price tag as well. So, let’s compare both of the scooters, in terms of engine specifications, features and prices.

MILEAGE SAVING FEATURES
For mileage and engine, both of them have some features onboard. Honda has equipped the Activa with the Intelligent Start-Stop system, Engine Inhibitor and ACG starter, which is likely to save up to 15-20% of mileage.
The engine inhibitor basically switches off the engine once the side stand is put down. The ACG starter technology helps in reducing the noise of the engine when put in the ignition. Also, it will switch on the engine faster as compared to the regular starter.
The Maestro also comes with its i3S, Intelligent Start-Stop technology. With this technology, the system automatically switches off the engine when idle for more than 5-10 seconds. With the press of handbrake and throttle, the engine resumes again.
