Honda has silently launched the 2018 Activa-i in India. The 110cc scooter is priced at Rs 50,010 (ex-showroom). It gets only some minor cosmetic updates. The 110cc scooter was the cheapest and most lightweight Activa scooter. Read ahead to get more details.
The cheapest and the most lightweight Honda Activa scooter is the Activa-i. It gets a relatively smaller fibre plastic body with the same mechanicals. Meanwhile, the 2018 Activa-i version has been silently launched in India. It is priced at Rs 50,010 (ex-showroom Delhi). It receives some visual updates and a couple new features, that are seen in the Activa 5G. This scooter is mainly focussed for female riders and is lighter than the normal Activa. It weighs around 103 kgs, which is amongst one of the lightest scooters. This scooter is not much popular though, despite Honda having a huge play in the 110cc segment. In the latest update, the scooter gets five new colours – Candy Jazzy Blue, Imperial Red Metallic, Lush Magenta Metallic, Orchid Purple Metallic and Mat Axis Grey Metallic. It also gets some extra features, which are found in the other new Honda scooters. The 2018 Activa-i gets a four-in-one ignition and a separate seat opener switch. Also, it gets a metallic exhaust muffler, instead of the plastic one, a front hook and a dual-tone analogue instrument console.
This scooter is powered by a 109cc fan-cooled engine that produces 8 BHP @ 7000 RPM of power and 8.94 Nm @ 5500 RPM of torque. The top speed recorded on this scooter is 83 KMPH. The scooter uses front and rear drum brakes, like the Activa. It misses out on an optional disc brake, which is usually found in most of the 110cc scooters. For suspension, it uses the spring hydraulic type in both the front and rear tyres. The fuel capacity of the scooter is 5.3 Litres with a riding range of around 300 Kms. The mileage of the scooter is around 60 KMPL.

Current features of the scooter include Central Braking System with Equalizer, body colour mirrors, a front hook, 4-in-1 lock seat opening switch, a mobile charging socket, 18 Litres of storage space and obviously, Honda’s reliability. Current competitors of the scooter include TVS Zest, Suzuki Let’s, Hero Pleasure and Yamaha Ray Z.
