There’s nothing special about home delivery of food from a fast-food joint but how about a Rolls Royce Ghost being delivered to your doorsteps?
The latest-gen Rolls Royce Ghost was launched in India in 2020 and it has found many buyers since its debut. The second-gen Ghost is every bit a mini Phantom and offers tonnes of luxury. Not just that, it even looks very stately and here’s a video from Hyderabad that shows the sedan being home delivered. This car belongs to one Mohammed Shoeb, who’s a real estate tycoon. The video starts with showing the huge mansion of Shoeb and then gives us a glimpse of his Lamborghini Aventador and even a Ferrari.
As can be seen in the video, the Rolls Royce Ghost was brought to the mansion on a flatbed and the sedan is then parked on the porch. There’s a black cover on it for the owner to pull it off. Next, the owners of the sedan are seen pulling off the covers and revealing the white Ghost. The video then shows some documents being signed during night time.
The second-gen Rolls Royce Ghost debuted 11 years after the launch of the first-gen model. It is built on a new aluminium spaceframe that is shared with the latest Phantom. Compared to the previous model, the latest-gen Ghost is 89mm longer and 30mm wider. It’s even taller by 21 mm. The wheelbase, however, stays unchanged at 3,295mm. The car now offers 507-litre of bootspace. Powering the second-gen Ghost is a massive 6.75-litre, twin-turbo V12 petrol engine from the Phantom. It outputs a maximum power of 571 PS along with a peak torque of 850 Nm.
Power is sent to all four wheels, which is very unlike the RWD-only configuration of the first-gen Rolls Royce Ghost. In spite of tipping the scales at a huge 2.5 tonnes, the sedan is quite quick off the block and can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds. Its top-speed is electronically restricted to 250 kmph. The luxury sedan also comes with an active rear axle that allows rear-wheel steering to reduce the car’s turning radius and improve its agility.
