Ambassador is one iconic car in India. It has got an inherent Vintage kind of Styling and look with round shapes head-lamps, a typical bonnet hood rising in the middle. Lots of chrome around the grille and handles. No doubt lots of eminent people in our country, mostly from the diplomatic and political fraternity love riding in spacious back seat of the Ambassador.
Hindustan Motors is going to replace the existing diesel engine of the Ambassador with the new 2 Litre CRDI Diesel engine which will be more fuel efficient and BS4 emission norms compliant. The petrol, CNG / LPG engine of Ambassador has already been upgraded to comply with the newly applied Bharat Stage 4 Emission norms. This move will help Ambassador improve sales and come out of the loss position which it has faced in the past financial year of 2009-2010. The new Ambassador maybe launched anytime soon.
