In a crazy accident on a highway in California, a minivan rams on to a motorcycle after which it gets stuck on the minivan and the driver continues speeding down the highway like that. The rider fortunately lived to tell his story.
We have brought you several accident stories over the last few weeks but this one here is rather bizzare. Recorded on the motorway by a man on his phone, this video has gone viral on the internet. Here you can see the driver of a minivan speeding down the 91 Freeway but there’s a motorcycle stuck on the front bumper of the minivan. This incident took place in California about a week ago and it one of the craziest highway accidents we have seen in some time.
This is a hit-and-run incident where the driver of the minivan bumped into a motorcycle ahead of it. The minivan however did not stop but continued speeding down the motorway with the motorcycle abruptly stuck on the nose of the car. The rear end of the motorcycle is completely damaged and still being dragged with the car, it was spitting fire from underneath the car all along the way. The motorcycle seems to a Honda super sports bike.
The driver of the minivan knew he couldn’t continue for long like this. So he pulled over and ditched the vehicle and fled away on foot off the freeway in McKinley. The California Highway Patrol confirmed that it was a hit and run case. The rider was fortunately saved of his life and he only sustained some injuries to his arms and legs. The 25-year old driver of the minivan was arrested the following day and charged with a case of hit-and-run.

Chain Arunritthirot, the motorcyclist, later spoke about the incident and how he was thrown 200 ft away from his motorcycle due to the impact. The collision happened right in the middle of the highway and like most accident cases, the rider had no idea of what really happened at the moment. The rider said that the incident was almost “…intentional, like he hunted me down.” This incident could have easily taken away the life of motorcyclist if the impact was any harder or if he was thrown under any oncoming traffic.

The rider claims that he was riding at about 65 mph when the minivan hit him from behind at about 70 mph and still did not stop. The impact was so hard that the rear end of the motorcycle went underneath the minivan and remained stuck there while the driver didn’t give any darn. When he finally stopped, he fled the scene on foot into a drainage wash. Witnesses even tried to stop him but without any effect. This video was recorded by Natalie Duran and Will Ross and they also informed the California Highway Patrol. The rider was still in shock but thanked Duran and Ross for recording the footage that led to the arrest. The incident is currently under investigation.
