On Thursday, the Madras High Court dismissed a bail application from YouTuber TTF Vasan, who was facing charges of riding his Suzuki Hayabusa recklessly on a public road. The court ruled that his motorcycle should be burnt and ordered the shutdown of his YouTube channel. Vasan had been arrested by the police on September 19 for his reckless riding on the Chennai-Vellore Highway. A case was filed against TTF Vasan for riding recklessly, posing a potential danger. Subsequently, the bail plea submitted by Vasan was denied by the Kanchipuram District Court.

YouTuber’s Petition States SuzukI Hayabusa Skidded at Moderate Speed to Avoid Cattle
In response, Vasan’s legal team filed a bail petition in the Madras High Court, which was heard by Justice CV Karthikeyan. Vasan’s attorney argued that the accident was not intentional, resulting in no injuries to anyone. They also highlighted Vasan’s right hand injury sustained during the incident, requesting bail for his treatment at a private hospital. The police, however, countered by stating that Vasan’s actions were driven by his 40 lakh social media followers, who were avidly following his adventures. They noted that Vasan had invested in a riding suit worth Rs 2 to Rs 4 lakhs and a bike (Suzuki Hayabusa) worth Rs 20 lakhs for such endeavors.
The YouTuber’s petition states that while riding at a moderate speed, his motorcycle skidded due to cattle crossing the road. He claims that applying brakes prevented potential danger to both the cattle and his life. Being injured and unable to receive adequate treatment in jail, he requests bail for treatment in a private hospital. Professing his innocence, he expresses willingness to comply with any court-imposed conditions. In response, the judge’s order stipulates that before seeking bail, the YouTuber must permanently disable his YouTube channel and burn the bike. Subsequently, the court denied the bail plea, instructing the prison department to evaluate Vasan’s hand injury, as he is incarcerated in Puzhal jail.

In the video footage, Vasan was seen performing a wheelie alongside a white Hyundai Creta on a road in Tamil Nadu near Kancheepuram.
