With the Xpulse 200 and 200T, Hero has also launched the new Xtreme 200S, which is a fully faired sportsbike. It uses the same 200cc engine that comes on other bikes.
Hero has surprised us with a new sportsbike or a sports tourer. Hero Xtreme 200S has now been launched in India for Rs 98,500 (ex-showroom Delhi).
With its near pricing to the Xtreme 200R, buyers who want a better-looking sportsbike under the budget of a Lakh can actually go with this.
It uses the same 199.5cc air-cooled unit that comes on Xtreme 200R and Xpulse bikes. The engine produces 18.1 BHP and 17.1 Nm of peak torque, while being mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

For suspension, it uses 37mm DIA front telescopic forks and a 7-step adjustable pre-load adjustable monoshock at the back. The chassis underneath the Xtreme 200S is a Diamond type frame.
Braking is taken care of by a 276mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the back, paired with a single-channel ABS. It gets 17-inch tires at both the ends, but the rear tire is radial.
The bike weighs as light as 149 kgs. With a fuel tank capacity of 12.5 Litres, we can expect around 450-500 kms on riding range offered.
Features onboard include a Bluetooth-connected fully digital speedometer, turn-by-turn navigation, ABS, LED headlamps, Anti-Split seats, Gear Indicator and styling pillion grab rails.
Xtreme 200S is available in three colour options – Sports Red, Maple Brown and Panther Black. The deliveries will commence by the end of May, while the bike will reach the showroom in a week.
