Here’a a video taking you through a detailed walkaround of the design of the recently launched Hero Xtreme 160R. It looks extremely handsome and is quite close to the concept bike its based on.
Hero recently launched the brand new BS6 Xtreme 160R which is currently the cheapest 160cc segment motorcycle in its segment. It might be the most affordable motorcycle in its segment but it sure looks the part. The Hero Xtreme 160R is based on the 1.R concept showcased at the 2019 EICMA Motor Show and the production model has a great resemblance with the concept motorcycle. So here’s a walkaround video of new Xtreme 160R, showing its handsome design and how close it comes to the concept bike.
The Xtreme 160R looks handsome primarily because it gets a very smart looking face. The LED headlamps are very well designed and the sharp looking LED DRLs add a lot of flare to the motorcycle. The turn indicators on the motorcycle are also LED. In fact, the face looks almost identical to the concept bike. The 37mm front forks also add a lot of muscle and character to the motorcycle. The 12 liter fuel tank has been pretty neatly designed but the highlight has to be the tank extensions that continue rearwards into the center panel as a single seamless piece of metal.
That’s again something that has been directly carried forward from the concept and it looks very good indeed. The rear section of the motorcycle looks pretty neat with a short stubby tail with LED brake lights. Instead of a rear tire-hugger like a lot of other motorcycles in this segment get, the Xtreme 160R gets a proper mud-guard and that gives the rear section a neat look. Also, the 130 section meaty rear tires make it look a lot more appealing. The seat is a single piece unit but its deeply contoured and it comes close to split seat arrangement seen on the concept bike. The exhaust pipe is again short and stubby but it looks quite unique.

This make the Xtreme lightest bike in its class. It is built on a completely new diamond frame which is lighter and stronger.
