Hero has finally launched the new Xtreme 160R naked street bike. The bookings for it have begun and we are expecting the deliveries to begin in some weeks.
Hero unveiled the Xtreme 160R, its latest naked street motorcycle, a couple of months back. Now, the prices of it have been announced officially. The Xtreme 160R is now priced at Rs 99,950 (Ex-showroom Delhi), which makes it one of the affordable 160cc motorcycles that we have right now.
It will come in two variants – Single Disc ABS and Double Disc ABS – priced at Rs 99,950 and Rs 1,03,500 each, respectively. The dealer dispatches have begun already and in a week, you can test ride the bike yourself. This time, Hero has equipped its motorcycle with some performance traits that make it the best in class.

Xtreme 160R comes with a 160cc single-cylinder Fuel Injected engine that produces 15 PS and 14 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The bike can go from 0-60 km/hr in just 4.7 seconds, making it the fastest in its segment. We are yet to try out the actual real-world figures, so stay tuned!
Hero Xtreme 160R also boasts of best power-to-weight ratio as it is only 138 kilograms. This make the Xtreme lightest bike in its class. It is built on a completely new diamond frame which is lighter and stronger. For suspension, it gets telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the back. Braking is handled by a front disc brake and single ABS as standard while you can also opt for a rear disc brake.
Xtreme 160R goes against the likes of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer 155, Yamaha FZ S V3 and Honda X-Blade. In this price range, you also have the Hero Xtreme 200R, 200S and the Bajaj Pulsar NS160. Among them, Pulsar, FZ S, Apache and Gixxer, all are very popular.
