Hero MotoCorp has finally launched its first-ever ingeniously developed motorcycle! The new Hero Splendor iSmart 110 launch took place Gurgaon today and the new bike becomes an elder brother of the 100cc Splendor iSmart. The Splendor iSmart 110cc version made its public debut at the Auto Expo 2016. The new Hero bike in India has been fully designed and developed by Hero’s R&D team. The Indian bike buying lot has always been price and mileage conscious. This is exactly where the new Hero 110cc bike scores. Its segment-first i3S technology works exactly like the Start/Stop system we have seen in some cars. The i3S automatically switches off the engine at idle and turns it on again at the press of the clutch lever.This results in considerable boost of fuel mileage. It also lowers the emissions. The Hero Splendor iSmart 110 is available only in a Drum Brake variant as of now.

Hero Splendor iSmart 110 Price in India

The Splendor iSmart 110cc model has been priced at INR 53,300. There’s just one variant available as of now. A Disc brake variant, however, could be launched soon. It will be priced slighter higher than the current model.

Powering the Splendor iSmart 110cc model is Hero’s first-ever ingeniously developed engine. The engine is high on power, refinement and fuel mileage. The engine is BSIV compliant. Considering that Hero has been using Honda engines all this while, the new Hero-developed engine has pretty large shoes to fill in.

The new Splendor iSmart 110 is powered by an ingeniously developed, BS4-compliant 109.1 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that pumps out 9.4 PS of max. power and 9 Nm of peak torque. Also, in typical Hero fashion, this engine is expected to offer class-leading refinement and fuel mileage. With a real-world fuel mileage of more than 70 KMPL, the Splendor iSmart 110cc model could become the most fuel efficient bike in its segment. The motor comes mated to smooth-shifting 4-Speed manual transmission. However, don’t be surprised to see this bike getting a 5-speed transmission in near future.

The Hero Splendor iSmart 110 offers a rather conventional suspension and braking system. It gets telescopic forks at front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. It gets drum brakes on both wheels. However, Hero could launch a pricier variant on offer that will provide a front disc brake.
