Hero Motocorp has sold more than 6.52 Lakh units for the month of May 2019. It sees a 13.5% increase in sales compared to that of April 2019.
May 2019 has been good for Hero Motocorp, as it reports growth in the monthly sales figures. The manufacturer has sold 6,52,028 units of motorcycles and scooters in May 2019.
The figure grew from 5,74,366 units in April 2019, by 13.52%, to be precise. The manufacturer has crossed the six-lakh units mark for monthly sales for the first time in February itself.
Last month was jam packed for Hero as it launched three new motorcycles as well as two new scooters. It launched Xpulse 200 and 200T, Xtreme 200S, Maestro Edge 125 and updated Pleasure Plus.

Xpulse 200 and 200T are entry-level adventure motorcycles, priced near a Lakh. Both use the 200cc engine that comes on Xtreme 200R. While Xpulse 200 is off-road focused, 200T is a tourer.
Xtreme 200S is a fully faired sportsbike that is inspired from the Xtreme 200R. The same engine, chassis and suspension of the Xtreme make their way on all four of these motorcycles.
Maestro Edge 125 was last showcased at the 2018 Auto and has finally made its way in the market. It is the first scooter in India to get the fuel-injection system, packed with the 125cc engine.

Lastly, Hero also launched the updated Pleasure Plus, which gets a revised styling and a more powerful 110cc engine. Priced at Rs 47,000 (ex-showroom), it is one of the most affordable ones in the segment.
We all know that the Splendor is the best selling two-wheeler in India, while HF Deluxe and Passion Plus come in the top 10. In scooters, it has the Destini 125 which is again a popular choice.
The manufacturer is going to introduce more scooters in the near future to take on the might of Honda. We might also see the Auto Expo showcased XF3R naked motorcycle in a production avatar.
