Yes, you read the title correct, its 5 Lakhs plus, 5,20,272 two wheelers to be precise is the sales figure of Hero MotoCorp in January 2012. This is a high record number of two wheeler sales by Hero MotoCorp Ltd., the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer. This is a growth of 11.5 per cent over the corresponding month of previous year (2011) when it had sold 4,66,524 units.
The cumulative sales of the company in the period April’11–January’12, has now risen to 51,83,440 units, a 17.4 percent growth over the corresponding period (April’10–January’11) when the company had sold 44,14,537 units.

Commenting on the performance, Mr. Anil Dua, Senior Vice-President (Marketing & Sales), Hero MotoCorp said,
“We have made a good beginning to the new year with our January performance. We are pleased with the trend of five lakh-plus unit sales every month for the past six months, and we are confident of building further on these numbers. We showcased our new range at the recently-concluded Auto Expo in Delhi. While many of these will be launched in the market in a phased manner, the scooter segment will be seeing immediate action with the launch of our 110cc masculine scooter Maestro soon.”
Meanwhile, Hero Impulse continues to receive accolades from motorcycle experts and enthusiasts alike. The Impulse was yet again adjudged as the “Bike of the Year (up to 150c)”, this time at the Car India & Bike India Awards in Mumbai.
