The Hero Mavrick 440 will launch in India on January 23, 2024. Note that it will be the first large-capacity motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp. It will go up against the Harley-Davidson X440, Triumph Speed 400, KTM, Royal Enfield and Bajaj motorcycles in this category. Note that Hero MotoCorp manufactures the Harley-Davidson X440 and offers the platform. Hence, a lot of mechanicals will be shared between the two. But the difference will be there in terms of exterior design and features. Let us take a look at the details of what we know so far.

Hero Mavrick 440 To Launch On Jan 23
Hero MotoCorp announced the launch date on its Instagram handle. In this, the motorcycle is heavily camouflaged. But it still highlights the roadster appearance of the Mavrick 440. This includes distinctive features such as a compact front fender, an upright seating position, and front forks with a telescopic design, all evident in earlier spy photos. Its roadster aesthetics will be further accentuated by a robust fuel tank. However, resembling the design of Harley-Davidson, the Hero bike is expected to feature a circular headlamp complemented by an H-shaped LED Daytime Running Light (DRL) and LED turn signals. It will establish its own identity in terms of appearance and road presence.

Specs
We don’t expect it to bear any alterations in comparison to the Harley-Davidson X440. The latter comes with a 440-cc air-oil cooled, fuel-injected engine that delivers 27 hp at 6,000 RPM and 38 Nm at 4,000 RPM. This engine pairs with a 6-speed transmission. In terms of suspension, the bike incorporates Upside-Down forks in the front and a gas-filled twin-tube shock absorber at the rear, providing a 7-step preload adjustment. It rides on an 18-inch front alloy wheel with a 100/90 tire and a 17-inch rear alloy wheel with a 140/70 tire. Braking responsibilities are managed by a 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc brake. The X440 boasts a mileage of 35 km/l and houses a 13.5-litre fuel tank, with a weight of 181 kg. Most of these will be there on the Mavrick too.
