The Hero Maestro Edge 125 and Duet 125 are going to launch this September-October. The Maestro may be priced around Rs 55,000 and the Duet around Rs 52,000. Both will be 125cc premium scooters targeted at competing with Ntorq, Grazia, Aprilia SR 125, Vespa 125 and the Burgman Street.
Hero Motocorp currently has its three 110cc scooters – Duet, Maestro Edge and Pleasure. While the latest reports say that the Hero Maestro Edge 125 and Duet 125 are going to launch in this festive season. Both of them were showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. The Maestro and Duet will be positioned as premium scooters, with the Duet targeting family buyers, the Maestro will attract the younger buyers. Currently, both are 110cc scooters. The Maestro gets matte shades, graphics and black alloys for a more sporty urbane look. On the other hand, the Duet looks simple and classy with minimalistic styling elements. Currently, the Duet goes for a price of Rs 48,900 and the Maestro goes for Rs 51,300 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Maestro Edge comes with features such as telescopic function, external fuel cap, mobile charging point and boot light, a LED tail lamp, Digital Analog Combo Meter Console, Always Headlamp On (AHO) and service reminder indicator. The scooter is powered by a 124.6cc air-cooled engine that produces 8.7 BHP of power and 10.2 Nm of torque. The scooter weighs around 110kgs and delivers an approx mileage of 50 KMPL. The Hero Maestro Edge 125 also gets the i3s Idle Start-Stop system. This system is helpful for saving fuel. The Maestro Edge will come in Matte Red, Matte Techno Blue, Matte Vernier Grey and Matte Brown colour schemes.

The Duet 125 also gets the same features. Only differences are in the styling elements and design. Some switches and the digital cluster is a little different. The Duet 125 does not get graphics and decals over its body. This scooter is also powered by the same 124.6cc air-cooled engine, giving the same output figures. The Duet weighs 113 Kgs, 3 Kgs more than the Maestro. The Duet 125 will come in four colour options – Noble Red, Panther Black, Chestnut Bronze and Pearl Silver white.
Both the scooters are scheduled to launch this festive season, along with the Hero Xtreme 200R. Expect the prices to be decent according to the competition. We expect the Duet to go for around Rs 53,000 and the Maestro Edge is expected to start from Rs 58,000 (ex-showroom).
