Hero Motocorp is set to launch two new scooters next week, including the 125cc Maestro Edge and the more powerful Pleasure.
Hero Maestro Edge 125 was showcased along with Destini 125 at the 2018 Auto Expo. We expected it to be launched a bit early, but it has been more than a year now.
The manufacturer is all set to launch the 125cc Maestro on the 13th of May. Along with it, the Pleasure 110 might also be launched. Hero has confirmed the launch of these new scooters.
Till now, Pleasure was available with a 100cc engine. Maestro and Duet came with 110cc engines, and the Destini being Hero’s first 125cc scooter. The new Pleasure was recently spotted testing during a TVC shoot.

Hero Pleasure will get a major design overhaul that will make it look a new scooter. It was spotted with a revised front as well as the rear body panels. Brushed silver detailing can be seen around the headlamp and the side portion.
It will also get the bigger 110cc engine, that produces 8.1 BHP and 8.7 Nm of peak torque. Definitely, the engine will receive a bit of retuning. We expect the 102cc engine to be stopped completely.
The feature list might be similar to what comes on Destini 125, which includes a digital-analogue console, side stand indicator, service due indicator, Hero’s i3S technology and much more.
Pleasure will continue with the unit-linked suspension setup at the front. Braking will be handled by drum brakes at both the ends without the option of a disc brake.

Maestro Edge will be a sporty alternative to the conservative styled Destini. It will use the same 124.6cc air-cooled engine which produces 8.7 BHP and 10.2 Nm of peak torque. It will be available in Carburettor as well as FI variant.
Since Maestro is targeted towards young buyers, the performance might be jacked up a bit. We can expect better acceleration performance, but with the same power figures.
Maestro will be available with telescopic forks and spring-loaded hydraulic damper. An optional disc brake might be offered on both the variants. Expected features are LED headlamps, semi-digital instrument console, Econometer, boot lamp and USB Charging Port.

Expect the Maestro Edge 125 to be priced between Rs 56,000 to Rs 60,000, to maintain a good competition. Pleasure might demand marginal hike over its price of Rs 45,100 (prices ex-showroom).
