Hero MotoCorp Exhibits Hybrid Concept Scooter Leap At Auto Expo 2012

Hero MotoCorp has exhibited a list of two wheelers at the Auto Expo 2012. Few days before the start of the Auto Expo, Hero showcased its three new products to the media – Hero Maestro 110 CC Gearless Scooter, 125 CC Ignitor bike and new and Improved Version of Hero Passion X Pro (Click here for details). Apart from these three new two wheelers which are soon-to-be-launched in India, there was a concept scooter which was the center of attraction called Hero Leap. The Leap Concept is a Parallel Hybrid Concept scooter which has been developed by Hero in collaboration with some foreign consulting partners. In this article, we will share details on all these two wheelers exhibited by Hero MotoCorp at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi India.

Leap Concept is an eco-friendly initiative which showcases the R&D capabilities of the Hero MotoCorp in India. The Leap runs on battery and petrol engine and features good aesthetics. For the leap Concept, Hero has filed three international design patents and nine international design registrations.

Unveiling the leap at the Auto Expo 2012, Mr. Pawan Munjal, MD and CEO of Hero MotoCorp quoted:

“As its name signifies, ‘Leap’ is indeed a leap in terms of advanced technology not just for us but also for the Indian two wheeler industry in general. Although its currently at concept stage, we intend to take it forward to be able to produce it commercially in the near Future.”
