Hero Motocorp is in the middle revamping its entire lineup and it will keep on launching new products in the current calendar year at a pretty brisk pace. Hero intends on launching 4 of its upgraded models in March 2014 itself which will help the company extend its lead over the competitors and give it a slightly stronger footing in the segments it isn’t really popular in. The Hero Karizma R / ZMR, Xtreme, Extreme Sports and Pleasure will be launched in March 2014 itself according to reports.
Karizma R / Karizma ZMR
Starting with the iconic Karizma siblings, they have finally got themselves a major facelift and get a slew of design and engine inputs from its technology partner EBR. Karizma R will be the semi-faired version while the ZMR will be the fully faired variant. They will get the same 223cc motor that will get fuel injection in the ZMR. The 223cc mill has been doing duty in the Karizma right from 2003 and has already proved its worth.
The Karizma R will get a maximum power output of 19.2 BHP and a peak torque figure of 19.35 NM while the Karizma ZMR will get a slightly higher power output of 20 BHP and a marginally higher peak torque of 19.7 NM courtesy of the fuel injection. The revamp that the bikes have got themselves has been criticised a lot but we feel that the design is something which grows on you and will become popular with passage of time.
Hero Extreme / Extreme Sports
Coming to the facelifted Xtreme, it will now come with the moniker Xtreme and will be available in two variants, Xtreme and Sports with the latter getting a slightly higher power output. The Xtreme Sports will be churning out 15.2 BHP of a maximum power and a peak torque of 14.4 NM and the new styling of the bike makes it look better than the outgoing version. It gets electronic mobiliser and side stand with auto engine cut off which we feel is a pretty nice touch.

Hero Pleasure
The 2014 Pleasure will get integrated braking system, side stand indicator, mobile charging socket, lockable glove box and light under the seat as the changes. It looks bog similar to the regular Pleasure and the changes are restricted to new paint options.
The Karizma siblings are expected to restore their long lost glory, the Xtreme Sports is expected to come out shining as an amazing 150cc bike while the Pleasure is expected to come across as a good automatic scooter for the fairer sex. What do you think? Let us know in the comments section below.
