For the past 3-4 months, Hero Destini 125 has topped the scooter sales chart of the manufacturer. It is the best selling Hero scooter now.
Hero Destini 125 is a simple-looking family focused 125cc scooter. It has now reached the position of the best selling Hero scooter in India. Destini also takes its place in top 5-best selling scooters.
For the month of March 2019, Hero sold 22,564 units of Destini. A month prior to that, it recorded 24,018 units. Since its launch, the monthly sales have managed to stay above 15000 units.
Other scooters in Hero’s portfolio include Maestro Edge, Pleasure and Duet. Among these three, Duet is the least-selling model, while Pleasure is the highest-selling one.

Hero Destini 125 is available in two variants LX and VX. The LX variant goes for Rs 55,080 and the VX variant for Rs 57,930 (ex-showroom Delhi).
At this price, it is one of the most affordable 125cc scooters. Honda Activa 125, Grazia, TVS Ntorq and even Jupiter is costlier than Destini. Only Suzuki Access 125 is priced at par.
Along with the low prices, Hero Destini 125 also offers many features onboard. It mainly gets Hero’s i3S start-stop technology, which aids in increasing the fuel economy.
Destini uses a 124.6cc air-cooled engine that produces 8.7 BHP and 10.2 Nm of peak torque. The motor comes mated to a variomatic drive gearbox.

Features onboard include a digital analogue instrument console, side stand indicator, combi-lock system, external fuel filler cap, luggage lamp and a USB charger. It misses out on LED headlamps or Pilot Lamps, which some competitors offer.
For suspension, it uses front telescopic function and coil spring hydraulic at the back. Drum brakes at both the ends provide the stopping power. Destini 125 is not offered with an optional disc brake.
