A rather unique case of an old Toyota Innova to Crysta conversion has surfaced. Innova is an iconic name in the Indian automobile industry. It has been the segment creator and leader since its inception back in 2005. It found applications in private, as well as commercial spaces. The main reason for its immense success is its reliable powertrain and low maintenance costs. In the case of Innova, the comfort of the passengers is critical since people use it to travel long distances. That led to it becoming the highest-selling MPV in this space in India. For now, let us take a look at the details of this case.
Old Toyota Innova to Crysta Conversion
This post comes from innova conversion crysta on YouTube. The host narrates the detailed process of this conversion. Unfortunately, I don’t understand the language the host is speaking in this video. Nevertheless, most aspects are self-explanatory. The old Innova was a 2009 model. Hence, it is already 15 years old. But the owner decided to keep using it albeit with a modified exterior. For that, he visited a prominent aftermarket car modification house. As a result, the mechanics perform an extensive body job on the Innova to transform it into the Crysta. As a result, it gets the new rectangular LED headlamps, a new grille with chrome inserts and a new bumper.
There are fog lamps on the extreme edges of the bumper. Moving down the sides showcases the new alloy wheel design. Additionally, there are chrome-plated ORVMs with LED turn indicators, a sturdy side step for easier ingress and egress, a chrome frame around the windows and wheel arches, and chrome door handles. At the rear, the customer wanted a detailed LED taillamp setup with connected lights and a matrix effect. There is a noticeable roof-mounted spoiler and luggage carrier at the top. On the inside, there is a new steering and upholstery with perforated fabric. All in all, this has to be among the most simple yet practical conversions of the old Innova I have ever come across in a while.
Our View
I come across many conversions these days. People want to make their products stand out from the crowd. Also, aftermarket car shops have access to the latest technology and components from all across the globe. It results in ensuring that they can convert any car into just about any other vehicle. With Toyota Innova, as long as the mechanicals are working well, putting on a new fascia resolves the problems associated with the ageing of the car, at least from the exterior. Even the interior got a fresh lease of life. Hence, I must commend the car shop for doing a fantabulous job of creating this vehicle. However, I would advise our readers to consult RTO to know about the laws pertaining to such customizations.
