In the India’s first modified BS6 Volkswagen Polo 1.0 TSI you will find heavy tuning upgrades along with some cosmetic mods done.
Volkswagen Polo lost its 1.2 Litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine and even the 1.5 Litre diesel engine only to be replaced by a much more powerful 1.0 Litre TSI engine. The launch happened just before the lockdown and the deliveries started just about two months ago. The automatic variants have still not reached dealerships.
So, here we have is what the first Polo 1.0 TSI to receive modifications. With tuning done, this Polo now produces 130 BHP and 220 Nm of peak torque! That’s a 15 BHP and 45 Nm of torque jump from the stock engine. You can see that the car does not even have a number plate but gets all mods done. Truly an auto enthusiast’s thing.

It gets a Stage 1+ Wolf Moto Performance ECU Tuning and Superbee Turbo Back Exhaust system. Just with these two upgrades, the car sees a good power hike. Further, it also gets Triple-S Lowering springs, concluding on all the mechanical upgrades done onboard the hatchback.
Cosmetic modifications include a carbon fibre hood and 17-inch rims from N1 Concepts wrapped in 205/40/17 Rubber. Simple but tasteful. The colour has been kept stock and there are no changes done inside the cabin. These are rotiform wheels which are not available in India but are now copied by many local garages.
In its stock nature, the Polo 1.0 TSI produces 115 and 175 Nm of peak torque. In comparison to the BS4 Polo 1.2 TSI, the new one sees a mere 7 BHP rise. However, now, you do not get the 7-speed DSG as standard fitment. That has been fully replaced by a 6-speed manual stick and a 6-speed torque converter.
