Here’s a digital rendering of the upcoming Nissan Magnite based on the several spy shots we have seen. The subcompact SUV is due to be launched by August.
Nissan is going to launch its new subcompact SUV in India towards the second half of this year. It is one of the late entrants to this space, especially now that it has been around for more than 5-6 years. However, Magnite will be one of the most unique cars to look out in our country because of its pricing.
Here’s a digital imaginative rendering of the Nissan Magnite, giving us an idea of how it could look like. Looks like it gets the conventional design that is true to the Nissan origins. The huge front grille is something similar to what we see on the Nissan Kicks. The unique headlamp design and the tail lamp design is something refreshing. However, given the latest teasers, it will get sleek LED headlamps and DRLs surrounding the grille.

If you closely look from the side or from the rear, near resemblance to the Renault Kwid can be seen over here. The boot, especially, is very similar to the hatchback. The standalone door cladding is also seen on the Kwid as well as Triber. The alloy wheels are unique and fresh but look a bit smaller than expected.
Through reports, Nissan confirmed that the Magnite will indeed follow a conventional but sturdy-looking design. Its cousin, Renault Kiger, will instead be a funkier and modern looking SUV. Both of them will share the platform, engines, gearbox options and most of the components. Differences will be limited to styling and feature list.
Magnite will get a 1.0 Litre three-cylinder petrol engine from Triber, which produces 72 PS and 96 Nm of peak torque. The upcoming 1.0 Litre three-cylinder engine will also come on Magnite and is expected to produce around 100 PS. Gearbox options will include a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT, mostly for both the engines.

Nissan Magnite is going to come with features such as touchscreen infotainment system, internet car technology, electric sunroof, automatic climate control, cruise control, rear AC vents and much more. Seeing the recent success of Triber, it could be a booster for both the SUVs. As far as reports suggest, these two SUVs will definitely come in the second half, during the festive period.
