Here are the first impressions of the Kia Sonet HTX+ top-end iMT from one of the earliest owners of the country.
Kia Sonet has just been launched in the country and the deliveries commenced right after the launch. The waiting period for any variant is atleast a month which goes up to 4-5 months as well. Here is a early ownership review of the Sonet Tech Line HTX+ iMT variant, which is among the top end variants.
The owner got his Sonet from the Gurgaon showroom in just 15-20 days of booking. This makes him the first customer of Gurgaon. It costed him Rs 13.47 Lakhs (on-road). In this video, he has talked about his first impressions of the car. The one that he has is the Turbo Petrol engine with the iMT gearbox, which is again a new experience.

The owner is currently learning to live with the iMT gearbox, which he feels is very practical and easy. He earlier had a Baleno Manual and then shifted on to Sonet as he got a good review of Seltos from his friends. Further, he talks about different features of Sonet like ventilated seats and the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
As per the first impressions of the owner, the mileage of Sonet iMT is coming out to be good. As per our mileage calculations during the media drive, Sonet iMT should deliver 12-15 kmpl on an average. With a fuel tank capacity of 45 litres, you should be getting an estimated driving range of 600-650 kilometres.
It gets a 1.0 Litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine that is good for 120 PS and 175 Nm of peak torque, while paired with either a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT. Features onboard the HTX+ trim include six airbags, electric sunroof, cruise control, 10.25 inch touchscreen with UVO Connect Internet Car Technology, ventilated seats, 16-inch alloy wheels and much more.
