Hyundai has launched the third generation i20 in India, with prices starting at Rs 6.71 Lakhs (ex-showroom). It comes in the same four variants as earlier, including Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O). The base Magna variant comes with a petrol and diesel engine only, without the option of an automatic or a turbo motor.
The base variant of 2020 Hyundai i20 Magna variant also seems to be sufficiently loaded. The exterior styling highlights have been maintained including the rear side spoiler, glossy black detailing for the grille and skirts over the body. Inside the cabin, it gets black fabric seats with an all-black interior theme. The Magna variant does not get most of the features of the top-end variant.
For starters, it uses twin pod analogue instrument cluster that comes on Hyundai Venue and also came on the older i20. The steering wheel has been retained but misses out on cruise control. The 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system is substituted by a 2-DIN bluetooth system with AUX connection as well. Even the AC knobs have been taken from the older i20.
The dashboard design overall remains the same with the same lines and detailing. Lastly, it also misses out a fast USB Charger and only gets 1 USB port and a 12V port. Although, you still get rear AC vents and a rear USB charger. The front centre armrest has been retained but there’s no rear armrest. Other bits include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and much more.
