The 2022 GWM Haval Cool Dog has finally been revealed. However, it is unlikely to come to the Indian shores.
GWM Haval has launched a new rugged-looking SUV in China. It is essentially a smaller version of the Haval Big Dog and shares a lot of its design elements with it. The new vehicle is dubbed the Cool Dog or Kugou. It is essentially a Chinese equivalent to the Ford Bronco Sport and a tougher version of the GWM Haval Jolion. The electric hatchback is expected to be launched in the Australian market soon. While it was earlier planned for India, now an Indian launch is unlikely. Recently, Haval ceased its Indian operations without launching any vehicle.

Haval Cool Dog Design and Dimensions
The Haval Cool Dog was first revealed as a concept at the 2021 Shanghai motor show. It features a stylishly muscular bonnet with squared-off wheel arches and black or silver-painted faux bash plates. You can also see a long rectangular grille vertical stakes and a set of round LED headlights with a plus-sign daytime running light signature. At the back, the company has added vertically oriented LED tail lights. The A-B-C pillars are painted in silver. Most of these design details seem to be lifted from the Ford Bronco.
In terms of dimensions, the small SUV measures 4520mm x 1875mm x 1745mm. It comes with a 2710mm wheelbase. The 2022 GWM Haval Cool Dog is around 100mm shorter than the Haval Big Dog. However, it is around 130mm longer than the Ford Bronco Sport. On the inside, the GWM Haval Cool Dog sports a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, an 18-speaker JVC sound system, interior ambient lighting, faux-carbon fiber panels, and two-tone yellow-black leather seats. The five-seater car seems wide enough for 3 adults and has ample leg room.
