Harley Davidson Livewire prices have been announced for the US markets. The electric motorcycle will be available in the States later this year.
Harley Davidson Livewire is going to be launched in USA post September this year. The bookings for the electric motorcycle are now open and the deliveries are expected to commence by end of 2019.
Livewire is priced at Rs $ 29,799 for the US. So, keeping the exchange rates in mind, it should cost around Rs 21 Lakhs for the Indian market. The prices are higher than many 1 Litre superbikes in India.
As of now, there is no confirmation of the sale of Harley Davidson Livewire in the global markets. There are low chances of the electric motorcycle coming to the Indian market.

HD Livewire uses an H-D Revelation Electric Powertrain that helps the motorcycle to sprint from 0-100 km/hr in 3.5 seconds. It gets a claimed riding range of 177 kms under urban riding conditions.
Since its an electric motorcycle, it gets a single-speed transmission. The power generation mode allows you to add charge to the battery with the braking effect. This system is of great use especially in the urban stop-go traffic.
The other technical specifications of the motorcycle have not been disclosed yet. The details will come in a bit course of time.

Harley Davidson Livewire also gets H-D Connect, that allows you to connect with the motorcycle via Bluetooth and Harley Davidson app. With the help of LTE-enabled telematics control, the app displays the battery charge, available range and more information.
The instrument cluster displays tamper alerts, GPS notifications, location tracking and service reminders. The app and instrument cluster also display the nearest charging station.
Mechanical features include cornering-enhanced ABS and Traction control as standard fitments. Both the mentioned safety features are fully electronic and receive assistance from an inertial measurement unit.

Mainly, Harley Davidson is also known for loud exhaust notes. Since the absence of exhaust might rule out the typical note, HD promises that it will get a new signature exhaust note.
