Harley Davidson India has launched the popular Sportster Harley Davidson Forty Eight in India. The bike is a classy and macho hot-rod Sportster with 1200CC V-Twin air cooled engine with electronic sequential port fuel injection technology. The engine churns out an awesome 107 Nm or torque at 4000 RPM at a fuel economy of about 18 KMPL in the city driving conditions. It has a 5 speed manual transmission with the gear rations spreading over a range of 9.3 to 3.5. The weight of the bike is close to 250 Kg which gives it a very stable cruising feel when on high speeds. It has a long wheelbase of 1.518m with a total length of over 2.25m.

Harley Davidson 48 Sportster is launched in India at an ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs. 8.5 Lakhs. The deliveries of the bike will start around the end od April 2011.
