This Tata Nexon XM petrol was bought in July 2020 and under a month, the owner is selling off his car. It has run only 350 kilometres till now. The owner has given us a vague idea of his reason to sell of this car. First, he says that the second gear gets stuck a lot of times while running. That could mean that the owner tries to shift into the third gear, but it gets stuck on the second one itself causing trouble while driving.

Further, the owner says that the back gear or reverse gear also has a lot of problems while being engaged. The rear parking sensors are not working properly and despite getting a positive confirmation from the dealership, he is facing troubles. The owner also feels that the hill assist control is not working. This technology works when your car is climbing an upslope and if the system detects the car is going backwards, it automatically pulls up the car to a speed of 10 km/hr.
Lastly, while driving, the owner has experienced that the pickup and overall performance is not that good. All these reasons have forced him to sell off his brand new Nexon. If any buyers are interested, it seems like a good choice because it will be cheaper and you will not have any waiting period. However, even if a month old, it will get a permanent second hand car stamp.
Nexon gets a 1.2 Litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 120 PS and 170 Nm of peak torque. This makes Nexon one of the most powerful SUVs in the segment. Probably, the owner could be talking about the turbo lag which usually comes in these engines. The other engine on offer is a 1.5 Litre turbodiesel unit that produces 110 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque. Gearbox options include a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AMT for both the engines.
