Gul Panag and Her Mahindra Scorpio
Her journey with the Scorpio began back in 2006 when she owned the first 4×4 version of the SUV in the country that was custom-made for her. She had been waiting for the Scorpio for a long time back then. Prior to that, she had travelled to Ladakh on bikes. knowing that she is passionate about such excursions, it was no wonder she was looking for a rugged 4×4 off-roading machine. After having bought the Scorpio, she went on to purchase the Scorpio Getaway and installed a tent atop it.

This was a conscious decision. She mentions that she was stuck on the road in the mountains after their car bottomed out. Luckily, they had the other car with them and they ended up spending the night in that. From then on, she got her Getaway adequately modified with heavy off-road equipment. After over one and a half decades of the first Scorpio, Gul Panag has brought home the latest Scorpio N. Needless to say, her connection with the Scorpio has been quite remarkable and timeless.

The new Scorpio N comes with a 2.0-litre mStallion direct-injection turbo petrol engine that produces 200 PS and 380 Nm, a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that produces 132 PS / 300 Nm in lower variant, and a massive 175 PS / 400 Nm of peak power and torque on higher variants. There are manual and automatic transmission options to choose from along with the 4×4 drivetrain. The prices of the Scorpio N range between Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 23.90 lakh, ex-showroom.
